Apparently the night before the Cap and Trade Bill was voted on in the house, three prominent US Democrats - Nancy Pelosi (Speaker of the House), Henry Waxman (House Energy and Commerce Head and notorious member of the rodent family), and Jim Clyburn (Majority Whip in the House) gave a significant amount of money to House Democrats who were on the fence over the bill. What a shocker. -
“If this was a concerted effort by the Democratic leadership to purchase votes for Nancy Pelosi’s national energy tax at the eleventh hour, then it is unconscionable at best and corrupt at worst. The sad fact for those Democrats who were seemingly bought and paid for, is that it will take a lot more money than they received to defend such an atrocious vote.” - Ken Spain - The Politico
What is the definition of bribery? Why is this not being investigated? As I have previously mentioned, I am yet to speak to one person, conservative or liberal, who thinks that Cap and Trade is a good idea. So, our elected officials are making decisions based on personal gain, rather than the will of the people. How long can this possibly sustain? It's clearly taxation without representation and we now have a system of federal extortion, rather than a Constitutional Republic. I'm sure the Founding Fathers hoped it would all end up like this.
"Taxation without representation is tyranny." - James Otis - American lawyer and politician during the American Revolution - (1725 - 1783)
Test.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest county in the history of the world crumbles while its people sleep through another NASCAR race or a reality show. Let’s keep the idiots distracted with a television program that exploits a pregnant teenager, or perhaps divert their attention by publicly airing the infidelity of a young father of eight children, or the celebration of the life of some famous pedophile… as the government kills capitalism and life as we know it. Some day (if they ever wake up) I’m sure they’ll wonder; “dude, really, where’s my county?”
