Obamacare is killing me. (Part 1)

Congress doesn't return from the August recess until September the 8th, so it seems inevitable that we will have to continue discussing health care up to and past that point. That is extremely unfortunate since I already feel like I've been smashing the skull of a dead horse with a crowbar for the last month. I am unbelievably sick of talking about Universal Healthcare, but it seems to be the headline every single day, so I don't really have any other choice but to continue to pound away.

Over the last several weeks I have actually gone through and read significant portions of the bill in order to be able to make a decision and then present a coherent argument for or against. Clearly, I see the current House and Senate bills as broad and encompassing with little to no specifics. It leaves so much room for fraud and waste and it will necessarily result in the rationing of health care, regardless of what President Obama continues to say. I would bet my life savings (all $20 of it) that I've read more of the two bills than he has. His last two speeches would serve to prove me correct, at least somewhat, considering he seems to have no idea what he's talking about. All of his speeches have been very general with little to no specifics about the implementation or possible consequences of the plan.

As I said, I have picked through HR 3200 and the following issues stood out and appear to be a direct contradiction to what the Obama Administration is telling the American people. I'm going to break it down into multiple posts since the bill is 1,018 pages long and I hate talking about this shit anyway. I actually have a hidden bottle of water from the Fountain of Youth, so it doesn't really matter to me anyway...you guys are the ones with the problem. (Me and Ponce de' Leon were roommates in college...cool guy I guess. His fucking donkey was always shitting on the floor though...little bastard.)

No one commented on my analysis and breakdown of Obama's health care speech, which took me a long ass time, and I'm imagining that few people read it considering its length. So I guess I'll try to keep these short so my ADD readers can stay focused. This is important information and it would be to your benefit to look it over and make your own educated decisions. The full text of the HR 3200 can be read here. -

Pg. 22 - (2) REPORTS.—Not later than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commissioner shall submit to Congress and the applicable agencies a report on the study conducted under paragraph (1). Such report shall include any recommendations the Commissioner deems appropriate to ensure that the law does not provide incentives for small and mid-size employers to self-insure or create adverse selection in the risk pools of large group insurers and self-insured employers. Not later than 18 months after the first day of Y1, the Commissioner shall submit to Congress and the applicable agencies an updated report on such study, including updates on such recommendations. - HR 3200

This mandates that the government will audit the books and records of all employers that self-insure. Basically every employer in the United States will be subject to a health insurance audit just like individual taxpayers. We will necessarily be forced to create a new government agency to handle these audits. Everyone hates the IRS...imagine how much they'll hate the IHRS (Internal Health Revenue Services). Say hello to a mass of wildly inefficient bureaucratic agencies!

Pg. 29 - (A) ANNUAL LIMITATION. - The cost-sharing incurred under the essential benefits package with respect to an individual (or family) for a year does not exceed the applicable level specified in subparagraph (B). (B) APPLICABLE LEVEL. - The applicable level specified in this subparagraph for Y1 is $5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for a family. Such levels shall be increased (rounded to the nearest $100) for each subsequent year by the annual percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index (United States city average) applicable to such year. - HR 3200

So what this is saying is that the government will provide you with "free" coverage that will not only cost more annually but will be less effective than your current coverage. Right on! $5,000 per person, per year, sounds like a shitload of money for "free" health care doesn't it? What happens after the money runs out? There are only two options to resolve the issue...ration the care or raise taxes...maybe both if we're really lucky! Idiots.

Pg. 30 - SEC. 123. HEALTH BENEFITS ADVISORY COMMITTEE. (a) ESTABLISHMENT. - (1) IN GENERAL. - There is established a private-public advisory committee which shall be a panel of medical and other experts to be known as the Health Benefits Advisory Committee to recommend covered benefits and essential, enhanced, and premium plans. (2) CHAIR. - The Surgeon General shall be a member and the chair of the Health Benefits Advisory Committee. (3) MEMBERSHIP. - The Health Benefits Advisory Committee shall be composed of the following members, in addition to the Surgeon General: (A) 9 members who are not Federal employees or officers and who are appointed by the President. (4) Members who are not Federal employees or officers and who are appointed by the Comptroller General of the United States in a manner similar to the manner in which the Comptroller General appoints members to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission under section 1805(c) of the Social Security Act. (C) Such even number of members (not to exceed 8) who are Federal employees and officers, as the President may appoint. Such initial appointments shall be made not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act. (4) TERMS. - Each member of the Health Benefits Advisory Committee shall serve a 3-year term on the Committee, except that the terms of the initial members shall be adjusted in order to provide for a staggered term of appointment for all such members. (5) PARTICIPATION. - The membership of the Health Benefits Advisory Committee shall at least reflect providers, consumer representatives, employers, labor, health insurance issuers, experts in health care financing and delivery, experts in racial and ethnic disparities, experts in care for those with disabilities, representatives of relevant governmental agencies. and at least one practicing physician or other health professional and an expert on children’s health and shall represent a balance among various sectors of the health care system so that no single sector unduly influences the recommendations of such Committee. - HR 3200

Basically this is saying that a group of up to twenty-six appointed "specialists" will be the judge and jury for the administration of the government-run system. Awesome. The Health Benefits Advisory Board will decide the covered benefits including treatments, prescriptions and specialized services. It only calls for ONE mandatory physician or "other health professional" (whatever that means) to be on the board. Genius. Bureaucrats, not doctors or physicians, will be making health care decisions for the American people. Plus, these people will be appointed AFTER the bill is passed, so we can look forward to more Czars. Hubris and arrogance abound.

Pg. 41 - SEC. 141. HEALTH CHOICES ADMINISTRATION; HEALTH CHOICES COMMISSIONER. (a) IN GENERAL. - There is hereby established, as an independent agency in the executive branch of the Government, a Health Choices Administration (in this division referred to as the ‘‘Administration’’). (b) COMMISSIONER. - (1) IN GENERAL. - The Administration shall be headed by a Health Choices Commissioner (in this division referred to as the ‘‘Commissioner’’) who shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. (2) COMPENSATION; ETC. - The provisions of paragraphs (2), (5), and (7) of subsection (a) (relating to compensation, terms, general powers, rule making, and delegation) of section 702 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 902) shall apply to the Commissioner and the Administration in the same manner as such provisions apply to the Commissioner of Social Security and the Social Security Administration.
SEC. 142. DUTIES AND AUTHORITY OF COMMISSIONER. (a) DUTIES. - The Commissioner is responsible for carrying out the following functions under this division: (1) QUALIFIED PLAN STANDARDS. - The establishment of qualified health benefits plan standards under this title, including the enforcement of such standards in coordination with State insurance regulators and the Secretaries of Labor and the Treasury. (2) HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE. - The establishment and operation of a Health Insurance Exchange under subtitle A of title II. (3) INDIVIDUAL AFFORDABILITY CREDITS. - The administration of individual affordability credits under subtitle C of title II, including determination of eligibility for such credits. (4) ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS. - Such additional 20 functions as may be specified in this division. (b) PROMOTING ACCOUNTABILITY. - (1) IN GENERAL. - The Commissioner shall undertake activities in accordance with this subtitle to promote accountability of QHBP offering entities in meeting Federal health insurance requirements, regardless of whether such accountability is with respect to qualified health benefits plans offered through the Health Insurance Exchange or outside of such Exchange. (2) COMPLIANCE EXAMINATION AND AUDITS. - (A) IN GENERAL. - The commissioner shall, in coordination with States, conduct audits of qualified health benefits plan compliance with Federal requirements. Such audits may include random compliance audits and targeted audits in response to complaints or other suspected non-compliance. (B) RECOUPMENT OF COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH EXAMINATION AND AUDITS. - The Commissioner is authorized to recoup from qualified health benefits plans reimbursement for the costs of such examinations and audit of such QHBP offering entities. (c) DATA COLLECTION. - The Commissioner shall collect data for purposes of carrying out the Commissioner’s duties, including for purposes of promoting quality and value, protecting consumers, and addressing disparities in health and health care and may share such data with the Secretary of Health and Human Services. (d) SANCTIONS AUTHORITY. - (1) IN GENERAL. - In the case that the Commissioner determines that a QHBP offering entity violates a requirement of this title, the Commissioner may, in coordination with State insurance regulators and the Secretary of Labor, provide, in addition to any other remedies authorized by law, for any of the remedies described in paragraph (2). (2)REMEDIES. - The remedies described in this paragraph, with respect to a qualified health benefits plan offered by a QHBP offering entity, are - (A) civil money penalties of not more than the amount that would be applicable under similar circumstances for similar violations under section 1857(g) of the Social Security Act; (B) suspension of enrollment of individuals under such plan after the date the Commissioner notifies the entity of a determination under paragraph (1) and until the Commissioner is satisfied that the basis for such determination has been corrected and is not likely to recur; (C) in the case of an Exchange-participating health benefits plan, suspension of payment to the entity under the Health Insurance Exchange for individuals enrolled in such plan after the date the Commissioner notifies the entity of a determination under paragraph (1) and until the Secretary is satisfied that the basis for such determination has been corrected and is not likely to recur; or (D) working with State insurance regulators to terminate plans for repeated failure by the offering entity to meet the requirements of this title. - HR 3200

This section clearly describes the position of a Health Choices Czar, which will be conducted through the Executive Branch, making it impossible to operate independently. The Health Choices "Commissioner" will be responsible for deciding the type of coverage an individual receives and whether or not the care recommended by the physician is satisfactory. Wonderful, so if a doctor or physician recommends a particular type of treatment, and the Health Choices Commissioner doesn't agree with the assessment, tough shit. You will have no choice, what-so-ever, as to what kind of treatment you receive. I cannot believe these bureaucrats would have the audacity to try to take complete control of the medical industry. Outrageous.

Pg. 50 - SEC. 152. PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION IN HEALTH CARE. (a) IN GENERAL. Except as otherwise explicitly permitted by this Act and by subsequent regulations consistent with this Act, all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act shall be provided without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services. (b) IMPLEMENTATION. - To implement the requirement set forth in subsection (a), the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall, not later than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, promulgate such regulations as are necessary or appropriate to insure that all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act are provided (whether directly or through contractual, licensing, or other arrangements) without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services. - HR 3200

This wonderful section of the bill ensures that all non-citizens, legal and illegal, will be provided with free health care at tax payer expense. So not only do we refuse to punish illegals in our country for breaking the law, and eating the fruits of our labor, now we are going to provide them with free health care! This is absolutely absurd...but somehow, not surprising.

Pg. 58 - (C) be comprehensive, efficient and robust, requiring minimal augmentation by paper transactions or clarification by further communications; ‘‘(D) enable the real-time (or near realtime) determination of an individual’s financial responsibility at the point of service and, to the extent possible, prior to service, including whether the individual is eligible for a specific service with a specific physician at a specific facility, which may include utilization of a machine-readable health plan beneficiary identification card; ‘‘(E) enable, where feasible, near real-time adjudication of claims; ‘‘(F) provide for timely acknowledgment, response, and status reporting applicable to any electronic transaction deemed appropriate by the Secretary; ‘‘(G) describe all data elements (such as reason and remark codes) in unambiguous terms, not permit optional fields, require that data elements be either required or conditioned upon set values in other fields, and prohibit additional conditions; and ‘‘(H) harmonize all common data elements across administrative and clinical transaction standards. - HR 3200

The Federal Government will have possession of all of your health records and, subsequently, they will know your entire medical history. Say goodbye to doctor-patient confidentiality and say hello to Big Brother M.D. They will also have access to your financial records and everyone will be issued a National ID Healthcard. Why don't they just tattoo a barcode on each of our foreheads? Then they can identify us at all times and nothing will be kept private from the "Great Benefactor" (We - Yevgeny Zamyatin). People were so pissed when President Bush tapped people's phones in order to protect the country against terrorism...where are you now you rotten liberal hypocrites? Where is the ACLU? Oh right, they're endorsing the plan. That makes sense. It's all a bunch of special interests and bullshit...the average American gets run over as usual.

OK, that's truly all the Obamacare I can handle for today...my eyes are bleeding from staring at the computer screen. If you need me, I'll be out back...smashing my head into a brick wall and eating rat poison.

Hillary is mad.

I haven't posted in a few days and I must apologize for keeping you in a perpetual state of anticipation. I know that my words of wisdom have become a necessary source of enlightenment in your day to day life, but sometimes it's not about you, now is it?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her Aunt Flo(w) attended a town-hall style meeting at a Congolese University in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday. She was in a bad mood. Imagine that. A young man from the university got his chance to speak and asked Secretary Clinton how President Obama felt about Chinese financial contracts with Congo. The interpreter dropped the ball and said President Clinton, rather than President Obama, in the translation from the student to Hillary, so she had a little hissy fit. -

"You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? My husband is not Secretary of State, I am. If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband." - Hillary Rodham Clinton

Now, in all fairness, the translator was the one who screwed up and said President Clinton instead of President Obama. However, is this how our leading foreign dignitary should address young citizens in a country where she's a guest? That doesn't seem like a very diplomatic thing to do. You can read the brief story of the altercation here. -

I would imagine that Hillary is a little upset about her husband's success in dealing with North Korea last week. This was only a week after the North Korean press issued a lengthy statement about Secretary Clinton and, let's just say, it was not flattering. -

"We cannot but regard Mrs. Clinton as a funny lady as she likes to utter such rhetoric, unaware of the elementary etiquette in the international community. Sometimes she looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping." - Foreign Ministry Spokesman for Pyongyang

So somehow, only a week after the North Korean government verbally abused his wife, President Clinton was somehow able to persuade the Socrates of the East, Kim Jong Il, to release two American journalists from a North Korean prison. No one is sure how he managed to do this, but the story can be seen here. (My guess is that Bill agrees with the North Korean government, since he hates his wife's guts, and that allowed them to engage in light-hearted discourse. See, Hillary is still doing her job!) -

"North Korea rejected the administration's first choice for the trip -- former vice president Al Gore, who co-founded the television channel that employs the journalists -- and Bill Clinton left the United States only after North Korea provided assurances that the reporters would be released, the sources said." - Washington Post

Jesus, everybody hates Man Bear Pig. Anyway, I will commend President Clinton on his humanitarian efforts to free the two American journalists, but I am again dismayed that we have our leaders traveling abroad to apologize for the evil empire we call the United States. I'm not sorry for anything...and I won't be. Why should we apologize to little shitheads like Kim Jong Il? He starves his own people to death, but we're the bad guys? Please, help me understand this.

I'm also a bit confused as to why our Presidents continue to appoint women to fill the Secretary of State position. President Clinton chose Madeleine Albright, President Bush chose Condoleezza Rice (after Colin Powell stepped down), and President Obama chose Hillary Clinton. Please don't take this to be a sexist remark...you will see my point momentarily. Below is a description from the U.S. Department of State regarding the functions of the Secretary of State. -

"Congress created the position of Secretary of State on Jul 27, 1789 (1 Stat. 28), as the principal officer of the Department of Foreign Affairs (later renamed Department of State). The Secretary was to perform such duties as the President required, in accordance with the Constitution, relating to correspondence, commission, or instructions to U.S. ministers or consuls abroad, and to conduct negotiations with foreign representatives. The Secretary has also served as principal adviser to the President in the determination and execution of U.S. foreign policy and in recent decades has become responsible for overall direction, coordination, and supervision of interdepartmental activities of the U.S. Government overseas, except for certain military activities." - State.gov

Basically, the Secretary of State has to deal with a mass of foreign dignitaries in various countries all over the world. The problem lies in the fact that a lot of cultures, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, do not have a great deal of respect for women. Doesn't it seem counter-productive to send a woman to speak and confer with a group of people that have little to no respect for her simply because she's a woman? I'm not saying that their thinking is in any way modern or acceptable, but the facts are the facts. Aren't the liberals always crying about ethnocentrism? I'd say sending a woman to have geo-political discourse with a group of men who don't respect her is pretty narrow-minded. Why would they take advice from, or even listen to, an individual they think should be beaten or killed for not wearing a burqa in public? It's common sense people...our leaders are idiots.

Michelle Malkin beats on the banshees from the View.

Let me start off by saying this, I don't hate many people. There really aren't even that many people I dislike. Hate is a strong word and I feel like people throw it around when "strongly dislike" would be much more appropriate. Let's save "hate" for people who deserve it. With that being said, there are three people that I actually hate...Keith Olbermann, Barbara Streisand and Joy Behar. Joy Behar is an arrogant, disrespectful waste of life and, collaboratively with those other screeching lunatics on the View, she makes my ability to see and hear somehow less desirable. Her voice makes me want to drive rail-road spikes through my ear drums. Hey, at least she's sexy...

Let's just put it this way...if I were stranded on an island with Joy (her parents must have been comedians) she would be dead within the first five minutes. I would say, "Joy, since we're in this together, just try not to speak to me or make any sounds or look me directly in the eyes...OK?" She would probably cackle and caw and cackle some more...and her head might spin around a couple of times while green vomit shot out of her mouth...and then I would smash her head with a tree branch and tame a wild stallion to ride around while I collected berries and coconuts and wild Amazon women.

This is a video of Michelle Malkin going into Medusa's cave and beheading the horrible banshees like Perseus. She is discussing the rampant corruption of the Obama Administration. Just watch how irritated the liberals get when they are presented with facts. -

What about Bush? What would you do different? Great questions morons. "We do feelings, not facts Michelle! We all share the same menstrual cycle and our vaginas have liberal ESP...you're not one of us you neo-con!" They basically admitted to not even reading the book...but still felt it was acceptable to continually interrupt Michelle and talk over her simply because she doesn't support their dear leader. What caring and compassionate liberals they are! Yes we can! I guess if you can't win an argument...JUST TALK LIKE THIS AND HOPE THAT THE OTHER PERSON WILL GO AWAY. Well, Michelle didn't go away and she certainly didn't allow them to shut her up...she just kept throwing facts out there until the "useful idiots" decided they were outmatched. I wonder how long it will be before they have another conservative on the View. Probably not anytime soon after Michelle beat them down like Brock Lesnar. Plus, it's much more fun to pick on Elisabeth Hasselbeck anyway...right? And why the hell is Whoopi wearing the Blue Bonnet Butter girl's outfit?

On the other hand, I love Laura Ingraham. Listen to her bash on Joy Behar. Awesome. -

Suck an egg Joy, you succubus bitch.

As the bell tolls...the pendulum swings.

So, let's go over this again. The Obama Administration is pushing for Universal Healthcare. The POTUS has said on multiple occasions that his plan "will not eliminate private health care" yet this video was released today telling quite a different story. -

"I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer system." - BHO

Typical non-sense and lies from the POTUS. The real story here is that public support for a government-run healthcare system is in a death spiral as we the people learn more about HR 3200. All you need to do is read the first 20 pages of the bill and you will understand just how encompassing and oppressive this plan will be. -

People are starting to lash out publicly against the plan and you can be sure that the 535 members of Congress are being flooded with calls and emails from their constituents as we speak. Videos have been appearing on a daily basis and the footage is quite telling. The first video is of a town-hall style meeting with Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) and Kathleen Sebelius (Secretary of Health and Human Services). Sen. Specter actually says that healthcare reform needs to be done quickly, immediately following the constituents showing concern over the members of Congress not reading the bill. Apparently the old adage is true, at least in this case. With old age comes senility. -

Wow, they seemed thrilled about President Obama's plan...I can't imagine why this hasn't passed yet. The next video is of another town-hall style meeting with Rep. Tim Bishop (D-NY). Listen to what this idiot says before and after he gets beat down. -

"The central purpose of the Constitution is to provide for the common good." - Rep. Tim Bishop (D-NY)

I would be interested to know if Rep. Bishop has ever even read the Constitution. I think this type of backlash is going to become a reoccurring problem for any of these morons that decide to go against the will of the majority and let their ego-maniacal opinions run our healthcare system into the ground. Keep in mind, the liberals think that 535 people can make decisions for 300 million plus people and control an industry that makes up 18% of our gross domestic product (GDP). Did you see what happened to the "Cash for Clunkers" program? It burned through a billion dollars in three and a half days. What incredible foresight the POTUS has! Listen to this audio bit from Betsy McCaughey on Mark Levin's radio program. -

Betsy is a former Lieutenant Governor from the state of NY and presently writes op-ed pieces for the Wall Street Journal. She actually read the bill, something our Congressmen and women can't seem to handle. She had an interesting piece last week regarding the problems Obama's healthcare system would create for the elderly. -

The numbers tell you all you need to know. If there are 300 million people in America, and 50 million are uninsured, at least 250 million ARE INSURED. That figure doesn't even take illegal immigrants into account. If this does pass...you are going to have 250 million people forced into an undesired situation. That should work out quite nicely for the left in 2010 when they're up for re-election. But they already know this, that's why they didn't bring it to the floor for a vote before the August recess. It's pretty simple boys and girls...get with program (unless it's run by the government).

This is quite the paradox.

Dan Rather, formerly of the CBS Evening News, wants President Obama to set up a White House commission to help save the national press. You've got to be kidding me. -

“A truly free and independent press is the red beating heart of democracy and freedom. This is not something just for journalists to be concerned about, and the loss of jobs and the loss of newspapers, and the diminution of the American press’ traditional role of being the watchdog on power. This is something every citizen should be concerned about.” - Dan Rather

Dan, did it ever occur to you that the national press has committed suicide? Do you think anyone noticed the orgy for Obama prior to the 2008 election or the perpetual love-fest that has since followed? Everyone knows that the MSM (mainstream media) has become a propaganda arm of the Obama Administration. They refused to give the people any substantive material to develop an objective opinion as they showered an untested and unchallenged candidate with all the praises of Jesus Christ himself. Remember when Chris Matthews almost messed his pants? -

The whole lead up to the election was a travesty. No objective reporting what-so-ever. Why does Dan Rather think the American people would want the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to play a role in the the national media? That's simply ridiculous. It's like something straight from an Orwell novel. Has anyone read 1984? The Ministry of Truth IS the national press controlled by the federal government. It's a national system of disinformation and propaganda. Dan, are you retarded? -

The role of the national press should be to watch the watchers. Since they are no longer willing or able to perform their duties...let them crash and burn, just the same as any other unproductive industry. They continually provide us a disservice by spoon-feeding us whatever they deem relevant, rather than just reporting the facts. Dan, maybe you missed the Michael Jackson coverage, which was on a continuous loop for a week, while Cap and Trade passed in the House. The American people are hungry for real investigative journalism. If the major news outlets cannot, or will not, provide that...then they have failed and should be left to die. Do you really wonder why no one reads the paper or watches the evening news? I don't. I know why. It's not news...it's subjective opinion after subjective opinion. Wake up already. Read a few books and think for yourself. The MSM is dead and I'm glad. Maybe in 2012 we won't have to put up with shit like this. -

This sounds about right.

In case anyone forgot, on election day last November three members of the group known as the Black Panthers stood outside of a Philadelphia polling station with baseball bats. Nothing to see here. -

It was a blatant act of voter intimidation and it should have outraged everyone, white or black, right or left, etc. However, the Obama Administration doesn't seem to think so. This morning news broke that the case against the three men was being thrown out. Amazing. -

"Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the No. 3 official in the Obama Justice Department, was consulted and ultimately approved a decision in May to reverse course and drop a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party of intimidating voters in Philadelphia during November's election, according to interviews." - Washington Times

Where is the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union)? You would think an organization that operates under such a name would be eager to ensure the civil liberties of all Americans, regardless of race or political affiliation. I guess not. If this had been three members of the Aryan Nation or the KKK, what do you think would have happened? Why is it acceptable for a particular group of people to act in a certain way, but not for others? How can the POTUS say that the Cambridge police acted "stupidly" when he didn't even know the details of the incident, yet remain silent on a clear case of racism that over 1.2 million people have watched on youtube? Is this the Hope and Change that we've been waiting for? -

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join me as we try to change it." - BHO

It doesn't matter what race you are. I don't care if you're a black guy from Philly or a white hillbilly from the hills of Appalachia...WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. There are good people and bad people...period. The Black Panther thugs in Philadelphia are bad people...just like members of the Aryan Nation are bad people. In America, we cannot afford to decide who gets to do what based on race or color or any other divisive categorization. The POTUS is only fueling racial tensions by saying one thing and doing the complete opposite. What's the definition of that again? Oh yeah...hypocrisy. This video is bananas. -

While I will be the first to admit that this video is pretty over the top, the similarities are certainly apparent and the cult of personality can't be denied...we've been watching it for almost two years. The little kids singing freaks me out. Is our government conditioning the new Brown Shirts? -

The Brave New World.

So for whatever reason I found myself watching the Real World tonight...I know, I know...and I was able to bear witness to one of the great philosophical minds of our time...the name of his human avatar is Joey. Joey (pictured above crying like a bitch, getting a reassuring hand from the guy wearing his little brother's shrunken v-neck...gay) has the mind-set of a fifteen year old boy and wouldn't last one day in a real job...but that's OK...at least he has super awesome tattoos and a wicked lip ring. Far out!

"It's like...I want to break all the rules...but I don't want to go home. It's a catch-22." - Joey - Real World Cancun

Yes Joey...it is a catch-22. -

"Catch-22 is a term coined by Joseph Heller in his novel Catch-22, describing a set of rules, regulations or procedures, or situation which presents the illusion of choice while preventing any real choice. In probability theory, it refers to a situation in which multiple probabilistic events exist, and the desirable outcome results from the confluence of these events, but there is zero probability of this happening as they are mutually exclusive." - Wikipedia

Only the Catch-22 didn't involve Joey...it involved me. I had to choose between pressing on, thereby poisoning my brain and making myself dumber than I already am, or running into oncoming traffic. However, right before I hurled myself off the curb, the proverbial light bulb went off...I beat the system and just killed Joey. Problem solved.

There is a point to all of this. MTV makes people retarded. Every show they produce glorifies sex, drugs and/or alcohol and its audience is primarily comprised of teens. That seems like a good idea. Take an audience of impressionable, insecure young adults and feed them soft-core porn. I know...soft-core porn blows and I would rather watch Sex in the City or...no nevermind...I'd rather drink a bottle of Liquid Plumber...but that's neither here nor there. What I'm trying to say is that MTV is corrupting the youth. Socrates was put to death for corrupting the youth...and Joey gets to live in Cancun with his tough life of binge drinking and spitting on girls. Who said chivalry was dead? Not in Joey Rozmus' world. -

I wasn't even going to put this video up because the quality is so damn bad...but then I started reading the comments on the youtube page and I knew it was a win-win for me. You want to see some retarded shit...check out the comments and spelling that accompany this cinematic masterpiece. Way to go public school! No Child Left Behind? One may argue that the program has not lived up to its name. Maybe all the posters are from other countries.

In Brave New World, Aldous Huxley describes elaborate scenarios where children are brainwashed throughout their adolescence through "sleep learning" and are conditioned to accept their place in life through sexual exposure and the drug SOMA, which turns all bad thoughts into happy thoughts. (If you would rather read the book, which I strongly suggest, don't ruin it by reading the synopsis here. Also, Huxley was Orwell's mentor, though they were clearly in direct opposition when it came to what a Dystopia may look like. The Dystopian system of control in 1984 is brought about through oppression and violence, whereas the system in Brave New World is accomplished through conditioning and drugs. They are basically complete opposites.) -

"Recreational heterosexual and homosexual sex is an integral part of society. In this egalitarian society, everyone is treated equally. According to The World State, sex is a social activity rather than a means of reproduction and is encouraged from early childhood; the few women who can reproduce are conditioned to take birth control. The maxim "everyone belongs to everyone else" is repeated often, and the idea of a "family" is considered pornographic. As a result, sexual competition and emotional, romantic relationships are obsolete because they are no longer needed. Marriage, natural birth, the notion of being a parent, and pregnancy are considered too obscene to be mentioned in casual conversation. Thus, society has advanced to a new level of reproductive comprehension." - Wikipedia

Huxley wrote this compelling novel in 1931. One could certainly argue that he was somewhat prophetic in his vision of the future...particularly after reading the book in its entirety.

Welcome to the Brave New [Real] World. -

I'm so bored.

The news continues to bore me to death. Today's top headline on the Drudge Report was all about how Hillary Clinton has continued to raise money for whatever political adventure she decides to pursue next.

Oh gee whiz...I can barely contain myself I'm so giddy with anticipation. WHO GIVES A SHIT? There are literally thousands of legitimate stories that should be front-page news...but they rarely ever make it. I wonder why? They shouldn't even be allowed to call this stuff news...it's either boring or subjective and people wonder why newspaper sales are plummeting.

Moving on. My roommate had quite the encounter with his doctor yesterday and I figured it was probably the result of an emerging trend. I'll try to sum this up the best that I can. Frankly, I'm sick of talking about Universal Healthcare. However, since the rats on Capitol Hill don't give a shit about the will of the American people, I guess we have to keep beating the drum of opposition until it's put to rest for good. So, my roommate has had back problems for quite a while now and he's been back and forth from his doctor to get out-patient treatment and prescriptions. Well, he had been trying to reach his doctor since the middle of last week and was getting no response, which was unusual considering he's never even had to leave a message before. Yesterday, he got sick of waiting and called the emergency line. The receptionist who answered informed him that several of the doctors were hanging it up and 50 people, herself included, were going to be let go as a result. When my roommate inquired as to why they were getting out, she simply said, "It's madness...ever since the government has started discussing the implementation of Universal Healthcare...well, it's just been madness." She didn't really offer much more than that. He was then told that he would have to wait until at least August the 17th to get in to see a doctor because people are flooding the office to get early refills on their prescriptions. The only logical reason for this is that people are fearful of a government-run system and the potential rationing of pharmaceuticals and treatment. He used to be in and out the same day with one phone call. Basically, what this tells me is that even the notion that Universal Healthcare MAY come to fruition is enough to send the health care industry into a frenzy and the rationing has already begun.

Imagine what will happen if it actually passes. Dick Morris wrote an exceptional piece on the rationing of healthcare (specifically Medicare), basically reiterating what I've been trying to explain for the last month. -

"Today, 800,000 doctors struggle to treat adequately the 250 million Americans who have insurance. Obama will add 50 million more to their caseload with no expansion in the number of doctors or nurses. Indeed, his plan will likely reduce their number by lowering reimbursement rates and imposing bureaucrats above them who will force medical decisions down their throats. Fewer doctors will have to treat more patients. The inevitable result will be rationing." - Dick Morris

Universal Healthcare has the same trappings and pitfalls that any other government-run program has. When there is no competition, there is no efficiency or effectiveness...period. I just can't understand what people don't get about that.

"At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols." - Aldous Huxley

Stupid people are everywhere. -

Dear President Obama, Israel is our ally...

Apparently Barack Obama is either unaware that Israel is our ally or just doesn't care. The POTUS is more concerned with appeasing Islamic leaders and calling police officers stupid. (I can't believe those stupid crackers would arrest such a polite and color-blind individual like Professor Gates...oh wait...Gates is, and always has been, a racist. The proof is in the pudding.) -

In the video, he talks shit about Clarence Thomas, as if he's a sell-out because he's not a liberal trash-bag. News-flash Gates, you idiot, the liberals have used blacks for the last 40 years to win elections and what have you gotten out of it? Affirmative-Action and Welfare...two of the most detrimental things to ever happen to black culture. So, the Henry Gates issue is troublesome to me, because it shows Obama's true colors, but I don't really want to get into all that right now. Just know that I'm right and if you disagree with me, you're wrong. That's all you need to know...now and forever.

It seems that, on a daily basis, Obama does something or says something so ridiculous that I am no longer surprised by anything. If he held a press conference tomorrow dressed in a Japanese kimono and beheaded Sarah Palin with a Samurai sword...I don't think I would even bat a lash. I'm so sick of people saying how "intelligent" and "worldly" he is because he's good at reading on his right AND his left. Wow...holy shit, I wonder if tomorrow he can split the atom? Well if he IS as smart as the left would imply...then they must also accept the fact that he's a manipulative socialist and is no friend to Israel (or the Constitution). The Israelis already loathe him and he's only been in office for six months. -

Why is it that our cowardly politicians have no problem telling Israel what to do, but refuse to even open their mouths about the atrocities committed daily in Iran?

You know exactly why.

I'm back.

So I had a rough weekend...not like drinking whiskey and beating up hookers rough...but let's just say it wasn't fun...at all. I didn't have any motivation to post anything and I still really don't. The news cycle is complete shit and yesterday, when I finally decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and do something, this was the first article I came across...sick. -

After I got done vomiting, I just threw my computer, and my body, out of my office window. I work at McDonald's though, so it's not really an office. I stand in between the deep-fryer and the cash register and just sort of slobber on my shirt and stare at customers. Anyway, I landed on top of someone's Toyota Camry...and they were pissed off! They said NO FUCKING PICKLES!

Side Note - In cases like this, there shouldn't be a trial...they should make this sick freak dig her own grave, kick her into it like King Leonidas, and bury her alive. It wouldn't be half as bad as what she put her poor baby through. Please don't blather and whine about postpartum depression...I have post-college depression and I don't skin babies and eat their brains. What do you think Iron Mike? (Just go to 1:10 in and enjoy yourself.) -

“Lennox Lewis, I'm coming for you man. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart, I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah!” - Iron Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson is a lunatic but he is also a bad-ass...check this out! -

This is also amazing...but in a completely different way...and only because I spent hours of my childhood unsuccessfully attempting to do this without game genie. -

What were we talking about again?

Barack Obama is the Anti-Morpheus.

The Washington Examiner beat me to the punch, but I'm going to discuss this anyway. During his speech on Universal Healthcare last night, President Obama made a comment about Americans choosing between taking "the red pill" or "the blue pill". -

"If there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well?" - BHO

Clearly, this led me into a conversation about the Matrix. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of the Matrix, go here first. -

In perhaps the most pivotal scene, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) asks Neo (Keanu Reeves) to choose between a red pill, which would lead him to reality and freedom from the Matrix or a blue pill, which would send him back to his imaginary life within the Matrix. I suggest watching the full scene here and think of the government as the controlling force known as the Matrix. The similarities are somewhat startling as Morpheus even mentions paying taxes. (The only video that was any good has subtitles...sorry...I can't always be perfect.) -

Morpheus: I imagine that right now you're feeling a bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole?

Neo: You could say that.

Morpheus: I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he's expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?

Neo: No.

Morpheus: Why not?

Neo: 'Cause I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.

Morpheus: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know, you can't explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind -- driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Neo: The Matrix?

Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere, it is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, or when you go to church or when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.

(Neo takes the red pill and swallows it with a glass of water.)

Here is the story from the Washington Examiner. It only briefly mentions the Matrix, but clearly they picked up on the same thing I did. -

I also took the red pill...you should too...because unlike the Matrix, this IS reality and ignorance does not always equate to bliss. Follow the White Rabbit...

Obama clears the air on Universal Healthcare.

Last night I undertook the grueling task of watching Barack Obama's press conference on Healthcare Reform. Even though it was hard to keep myself from throwing the controller through the television, I watched it in its entirety and even took notes. Don't act like you're not impressed. So here is the play by play with some color commentary. I'm basically a one man broadcast team. -

8:00 - Barack Obama walks to the podium for his opening remarks. My first reaction, aside from accepting that I was now committed to an hour of propaganda, was a bit of surprise at how gray Obama has gone in only six months. He must be stressed.

"Six months ago, I took office amid the worst recession in half a century. We were losing an average of 700,000 jobs per month, and our financial system was on the verge of collapse. As a result of the actions we took in those first weeks, we've been able to pull our economy back from the brink." - BHO

I'm not sure what brink the economy has been "pulled back from", but I'm pretty sure continually rising national unemployment is not a good indication of economic salvation.

8:03 - "Of course, we still have a long way to go. And the recovery act will continue to save and create more jobs over the next two years, just like it was designed to do. I realize this is little comfort to those Americans who are currently out of work. And I'll be honest with you: New hiring is always one of the last things to bounce back after a recession." - BHO

"I'll be honest with you"? Does he have to clarify when he's being honest now? Whoever wrote this speech is probably standing in the unemployment line this morning. Also, Obama promised the stimulus would “save or create” 3.5 to 4 million jobs. He also promised that it would start doing so IMMEDIATELY. The pledge remains on the White House Website to this day.

8:03 - "And the fact is, even before this crisis hit, we had an economy that was creating a good deal of wealth for those folks at the very top, but not a lot of good-paying jobs for the rest of America. " - BHO

This is just one of the many examples of class warfare that the POTUS exhibits throughout his speech. Is there factual evidence to back up this loose claim? If so, where can I find it.

8:05 - "This is not just about the 47 million Americans who don't have any health insurance at all." - BHO

In the last month, the talking points number for uninsured Americans has gone from 40 million to 45 million and now 47 million. Maybe it's because people continue to lose their jobs and, subsequently, their health care. Again, higher unemployment helps to create desperation and more support for government intervention.

8:06 - "I've also pledged that health-insurance reform will not add to our deficit over the next decade, and I mean it." - BHO

On Friday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its cost estimate on the House Democrats’ legislation and found that it will increase the federal budget deficit by $239 billion over the next 10 years and cost nearly $1.7 trillion total. So does he not know this or is he lying? I'm also curious as to how a community organizer has the audacity to believe that he can fundamentally change an entire industry he knows nothing about. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's never worked in the private sector period, let alone a specialized field like the medical industry.

8:11 - "We also know that with health-care inflation on the curve that it's on, we are guaranteed to see Medicare and Medicaid basically break the federal budget. And we know that we're spending, on average -- we here in the United States -- are spending about $6,000 more than other advanced countries where they're just as healthy." - BHO

This is a completely open-ended statement. What is the criteria for being an "advanced country"? What does that even mean? This is such a stupid thing to say. Where are the numbers and facts?

8:11 - "If you found out that your neighbor had gotten the same car for $6,000 less, you'd want to figure out how to get that deal. And that's what reform's all about, how can we make sure that we are getting the best bang for our health-care dollar." - BHO

If I were the POTUS, I would shy away from car references. The report that came out yesterday said that GM, now GOVERNMENT MOTORS, is down 22%. That doesn't really help to promote your takeover of another major industry.

8:11 - "And we identified two-thirds of those costs to be paid for by tax dollars that are already being spent right now. So taxpayers are already putting this money into the kitty; the problem is, they're not getting a good deal for the money they're spending." - BHO

Here's a grand idea...give us our money back. You just more or less admitted that waste is rampant and then followed by saying that we should give more of our money so you can "fix" the problem. What? You are the problem.

8:12 - "What I've said is that there may be a number of different ways to raise money. I put forward what I thought was the best proposal, which was to limit the deductions, the itemized deductions, for the wealthiest Americans." - BHO

This is another classic example of propaganda. "Limiting the itemized deductions for the wealthiest Americans" means raising taxes. Why doesn't he just say he's going to raise taxes on the rich? He uses "limiting the itemized deductions" because half of the people watching don't know what that means. Don't be fooled by pre-constructed speech.

8:13 - "And so if I see a proposal that is primarily funded through taxing middle-class families, I'm going to be opposed to that, because I think there are better ideas to do it." - BHO

Well, well, well...Obama uses the word taxes less than a minute later, only this time he is talking about being opposed to TAXING the middle class. Why didn't he say that he's not in favor of "limiting their itemized deductions"?

8:16 - "We've got to change how health care is delivered to -- the health-care delivery system works, so that doctors are being paid for the quality of care and not the quantity of care." - BHO

Wait, wait, wait...don't we already have that exact system in place? Isn't the health care system set up to ensure quality care instead of the quantity of care? Again, whoever wrote the speech definitely got canned.

8:17 - "Now, I understand that people are feeling uncertain about this. They feel anxious, partly because we've just become so cynical about what government can accomplish; that people's attitudes are, you know, even though I don't like this devil, at least I know it. And I like that more than the devil I don't know." - BHO

Was this a Freudian Slip? Who is "the devil that we don't know"?

8:19 - "I'm rushed because I get letters every day from families that are being clobbered by health-care costs." - BHO

I would love to see those letters, all of them, not just the letters that promote his implementation of Universal Healthcare. His speech, at least up to this point, has contained little to no substance and he refuses to answer any of the questions directly. How do we know these aren't just imaginary people? I don't care about individual cases and neither does the POTUS. He just uses specific examples to play on people's feelings.

8:19 - " The default position is inertia, because doing something always creates some people who are unhappy. There's always going to be some interest out there that decides: You know what? The status quo is working for me a little bit better." - BHO

Guess what? Sometimes the status quo is the status quo for a reason. The status quo is defined as "the existing state or condition of affairs". This doesn't mean that the status quo is always bad. Often, something is the status quo because it works...so don't change it.

8:20 - "And every expert out there says this can be a valuable tool to start reducing inflation over the long term." - BHO

"Every expert" is pretty encompassing. I'm pretty sure that every expert is not on board with this plan. In fact, I would argue that the majority of people, including the bi-partisan Congressional Budget Office, thinks it's a bad idea. But what do I know?

8:23 - "So the plan that has been -- that I've put forward and that -- what we're seeing in Congress would cover, the estimates are, at least 97 to 98 percent of Americans." - BHO

There's no way this can be accomplished without making it mandatory for people to get on the government's healthcare plan, which he claimed would not be mandatory. Also, he's saying that 291 - 294 million people will be covered under his plan. That would still leave 6 - 9 million uninsured. How can you call that Universal coverage?

8:23 - "There might still be people left out there who, even though there's an individual mandate, even though they are required to purchase health insurance, might still not get it, or despite a lot of subsidies, are still in such dire straits that it's still hard for them to afford it." - BHO

So there is or isn't going to be a mandate? You can't say that people who have health insurance will be able to keep that insurance and then follow by saying that there will be "an individual mandate" or "people will be required to have health insurance". Isn't that completely contradictory?

8:25 - "You know, if you've got somebody out there saying not that, you know, let's get the best bill possible but instead says, you know, let's try to beat this, so we can gain political advantage, well, you know, that's not, I think, what the American people expect." - BHO

Which Republicans said these things? Please, provide some facts to back up your statements. It's amazing that the POTUS can just make statements like this and not be challenged on it.

8:26 - "I am very appreciative that people like Chuck Grassley on the Finance Committee, in the Senate, people like Mike Enzi, people like Olympia Snowe have been serious in engaging Democrats in trying to figure out, how do we actually get a system that works?" - BHO

Mike Enzi and Olympia Snowe are RINOS. They always vote with the Democrats anyway. I wouldn't necessarily use this as my proof of bi-partisanship.

8:28 - "Look, if right now hospitals and -- and doctors aren't coordinating enough to have you just take one test when you come in because of an illness but instead have you take one test; then you go to another specialist, you take a second test, then you go to another specialist, you take a third test; and nobody's bothering to send the first test that you took -- same test -- to the next doctors, you're wasting money. You may not see it, because if you have health insurance right now, it's just being sent to the insurance company, but that's raising your premiums, it's raising everybody's premiums. And that money, one way or another, is coming out of your pocket, although we are also subsidizing some of that, because there are tax breaks for health care. So not only is it costing you money in terms of higher premiums, it's also costing you as a taxpayer." - BHO

This was the worst answer to one of only two legitimate questions of the night. I almost turned off the television at this point, but I endured, because I'm a bad ass.

8:29 - "Now, I want to change that. Every American should want to change that. Why would we want to pay for things that don't work, that aren't making us healthier?" - BHO

What kind of statement is that? What does that even mean? Who the hell would pay for things that don't work? Well, except for our federal government.

8:30 - "If there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well? But the system right now doesn't incentivize that. Those are the changes that are going to be needed, that we're going to need to make inside the system." - BHO

To me, this was the most intriguing thing he said all night. The next post, following this super lengthy one, will be dedicated entirely to this particular remark.

8:31 - "First of all, let's understand that when I came in, we had a $1.3 trillion deficit, annual deficit, that we had already inherited. We had to immediately more forward with a stimulus package because the American economy had lost trillions of dollars of wealth." - BHO

How long will Obama be able to blame Bush before he has to start owning up to his own policies and be held accountable for his decisions?

8:32 - "So the -- the reason I point this out is to say that the debt and the deficit are deep concerns of mine. I am very worried about federal spending." - BHO

Did he really just say that? You've got to be kidding me.

8:33 - "So to all -- everybody who's out there who has been ginned-up about this idea that the Obama administration wants to spend and spend and spend, the fact of the matter is, is that we inherited a(n) enormous deficit, enormous long-term debt projections." - BHO

Again, he just passes the buck and blames Bush. I hope that, eventually, enough people will know better than to feed into these lies. It's your economy now buddy...and you're driving it further and further down the tubes.

8:39 - "But here's the thing I want to emphasize, Chip. It's not going to reduce Medicare benefits. What it's going to do is to change how those benefits are delivered so that they're more efficient." - BHO

First of all, Obama was noticeably pissed at Chip Reid for asking his question. He just kind of glared at him and smirked. Second, there is absolutely no way of ensuring that Medicare benefits, in terms of the quality of care, won't be reduced. In fact, most medical professionals argue that it will have a detrimental impact on the already inadequate care provided under Medicare. Also, this was the second of only two legitimate questions asked all night and he side-stepped this one as well.

8:40 - "And the last question was with respect to TARP. I -- let me take a look at what exactly they say we have not provided. I think that we've provided much greater transparency than existed prior to our administration coming in. It is a big program. I don't know exactly what's been requested. I'll find out, and I will have an answer for you." - BHO

So you mean to tell me that the President of the United States has no idea what information they have and have not provided regarding the TARP funds? I find that very hard to believe. Actually, I don't believe it at all because it's a blatant lie. How are your boys over at Goldman-Sachs doing? I bet Tim Geithner knows where the money is, considering he helped orchestrate TARP in the first place. Transparency and accountability are non-existent.

8:41 - "We were on the verge of a complete financial meltdown, and the reason was because Wall Street took extraordinary risks with other people's money." - BHO

It's amazing that he will continue to blame Wall Street, yet make no mention of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debacle...but then again, that wouldn't promote his agenda so why bring it up. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the stock market based on "taking risks with money"? Does he even know how the stock market works?

8:42 - "The problem is, now that the financial system has bounced back, what you're seeing is that banks are starting to make profits again." - BHO

We all know that profits are bad. Shame on those greedy corporate fat-cats. If the banks aren't making a profit, how are they going to lend money genius?

8:43 - "We also think it's a good thing that they're profitable again, because if they're profitable that means that they have reserves in place and they can lend. And this is America, so if you're profitable in the free-market system, then you benefit." - BHO

So, within a minute, he completely contradicts himself and then spouts a very general line about profits as if he's in favor of free market capitalism. I wish one of the reporters would just stand up and call him out. I can't believe he gets a pass on things like this. It's maddening.

8:44 - "With respect to compensation, I'd like to think that people would feel a little remorse and feel embarrassed and would not get million-dollar or multi-million-dollar bonuses. But if shame does not work, then I think one proposal that I've put forward is to make sure that at least shareholders of these companies know what their executives are being compensated. And that may force some reductions." - BHO

So people should feel remorse for getting paid now? Isn't that the point of working in the first place? This is America, people come here from other countries to make money, that's the whole point. He truly just does not understand the free-market. He can claim that "trickle down economics" doesn't work and go on and on about regulating the market but we do know, for a fact, how "trickle up poverty" works and we are seeing the effects of that right now.

8:47 - "The insurance regulation that we want to put in place will largely match up with what members of Congress are getting through the federal employee plan. That's a good example of what we're trying to build for the American people, the same thing that Congress enjoys, which is they go, there's a marketplace of different plans that they can access depending on what's best for their families." - BHO

Liar, plain and simple. Just last week, Democrats on the House Ways & Means Committee voted to defeat an amendment offered by Representative Dean Heller (R-NV), by a vote of 21-18, to require all members of Congress to get insurance through the government run plan, proving Democrats don't think Obama's plan will provide quality health care. Republicans voted in favor of the amendment, believing if it is good enough for the American people, it should be good enough for members of Congress. Facts are facts.

8:48 - "But having a public plan out there that also shows that maybe if you take some of the profit motive out, maybe if you are reducing some of the administrative costs, that you can get an even better deal, that's going to incentivize the private sector to do even better." - BHO

If someone can explain to me how taking the "profit motive" out of healthcare will incentivize the private sector to "do even better", I would love to hear it. If you destroy the competition by lowering the cost to a point where private companies can't compete, you destroy the efficiency and effectiveness of the medical industry. It's common sense.

8:49 - "Right now, doctors, a lot of times, are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that's out there. So if they're looking and -- and you come in and you've got a bad sore throat, or your child has a bad sore throat, or has repeated sore throats, the doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, "You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid's tonsils out." Now, that may be the right thing to do. But I'd rather have that doctor making those decisions just based on whether you really need your kid's tonsils out or whether it might make more sense just to change -- maybe they have allergies. Maybe they have something else that would make a difference." - BHO

What? This makes no sense at all. Is he qualified to make medical statements like this? It sounds like incoherent rambling from a guy who doesn't even understand the very thing he's trying to convince us to accept. Unbelievable!

8:50 - "You know, I would be happy to abide by the same benefit package. I will just be honest with you. I'm the president of the United States, so I've got a doctor following me every minute -- (laughter) -- which is why I say, this is not about me." - BHO

"I will just be honest with you." Well I believe you since you are always completely honest about everything. And this is most certainly about you and your agenda to push America towards socialism...just own up to it and let's move on.

8:53 - "All right. I tried to make that short so that Lynn Sweet would get her -- the last question in." - BHO

Well the question that he wanted to make sure that he made time for was from Lynn Sweet of the Chicago-Sun Times. It was a set-up question. -

"Recently, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. was arrested at his home in Cambridge. What does that incident say to you? And what does it say about race relations in America?" - Lynn Sweet

You've got to be shitting me. This was the last question? Are you serious? I want to punch holes through the wall. I sat here for an hour and watched this run-around and this is what we're going to end with? Thanks for nothing you bunch of lemmings. Journalism is dead as far as I'm concerned...these people are a joke.

8:55 - "Now, I've -- I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcing disproportionately. That's just a fact." - BHO

First of all, it's probably not a good idea for the POTUS to call police officers stupid, particularly when he admitted to not knowing the details. Secondly, he claims that it is "a fact" that Blacks and Latinos are being stopped by the police disproportionately. Really, a fact? So you have evidence to back this claim up? And when you say disproportionately, could it be that it's a result of them committing crimes rather than being racially profiled? Furthermore, you wouldn't have any documented proof of people being wrongly arrested, because if they aren't charged there is no record of arrest. Please explain this to me? Why do we continually need to play politics with racial issues? Race-baiting is a disgusting ploy and I hope someday we can get past this type of non-sense.

That conludes the propaganda...err...press conference on Universal Healthcare. I've learned so much in these last 60 minutes, I don't know how I'll be able to retain all of the valuable information. What a waste of time! All of the statements posted here are verbatim from Barack Obama's speech and nothing was added or subtracted. The full transcript of the speech can be read here. -

Or you can watch the speech online here. -

Update - Rahm Emanuel is a maniac...on the dance floor!

Well, after some serious research (typing keywords into a search engine) I have concluded that Rahm Emanuel is...well...he sucks. Raise your hand if you're surprised? Nobody? Well, I just wanted to follow the last post with some facts on the economy. It turns out that everything isn't all that great after all. Wow, who would've guessed? You would think that Obama's Chief of Staff would have these facts as well, but I guess not. It's not like he would deliberately feed the American people lies to garner support for the Obama Administration's radical agenda, right? He's a good, honest guy...I'm sure he just got confused. Here are the facts. Maybe Emanuel can check this out after the propaganda...err...press conference tonight. -

"In fact, Obama’s own estimate shows that the economy might have fared better without any stimulus spending at all. Romer and Bernstein’s projections show that without a stimulus package, unemployment would rise to just above nine percent in December 2009, staying there through most of 2010 before falling off in early 2011." - CNS News

Wait, I thought this was all George Bush's fault?

Rahm Emanuel in college. -

Now that shit is funny...I don't care who you are.

The economy has been saved!

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, along with his puppet Barack Obama, have somehow managed to save America and bring us out of the recession in a mere six months. This is very perplexing considering the economy has progressively gotten worse and unemployment has increased every month since Obama and his pack of water-heads took office. But don't let facts and numbers get in the way of your self-aggrandizing propaganda! -

"White House Chief of Staff told the New York Times Obama intends to use the news conference as a "six-month report card," to talk about "how we rescued the economy from the worst recession" and the legislative agenda moving forward, including health care and energy legislation." - Breitbart

These people are incredible. They just say whatever works, even if it's a complete lie. Unfortunately, we can no longer rely on the media to investigate these lies because they have devolved into a simplistic and sensationalistic propaganda arm of the government. The Ministry of Truth is alive and well. The only way to get facts is to inform yourself and our culture has become so dumbed down and apathetic that they care more about who wins American Idol than they do about our drastically changing political landscape. It's hard to imagine a way for America to break out of this current state of complacency. Although, if the change Obama is pushing does become as revolutionary as it seems poised to, people will have to pay attention as the changes will directly effect their lives and the lives of those around them. Again, this may all be in vain if the "great awakening" does not happen in a timely manner. In other words, if it isn't already, it may soon be too late to pull our country out of this mess. Well, unless you're Rahm Emanuel, everything is perfect from up there on his pedestal, because Obama saved us, just like Jesus!

House Minority Leader John Boehner sees it a little differently than the Obama Administration. In fact, he openly mocked Rahm Emanuel on the House floor today for his bullshit comments. -

"Not only has the stimulus not worked and the economy not been rescued, the President continues to promote policies that will create more unemployment in America. The national energy tax that went through this House last month will cause millions of Americans to lose their jobs over the next 10 years, at 2.5 million per year. And we're debating the health care plan, the government takeover of health care, which according to the Presidents council of economic advisors model will cost five million more Americans their jobs." - John Boehner

I hope we see more of this. Both Republicans and Democrats owe it to the American people to stand up and tell the truth, regardless of the consequences.

Leave Iran alone you Neo-Cons!

Apparently the Obama Administration is not privy to the same information that can be readily found on any of the major news sites, because the hippies running the White House are still very silent when it comes to Iran. In a wonderfully uplifting story from Fox News, Iranian militias have been marrying young girls, raping them, and then executing them. -

"Don't judge them man! You just don't understand their culture!" Wrong, I do understand their culture. It's a culture that glorifies the murder of non-Muslims and Westerners, the rape and oppression of women, and a zero-tolerance policy on anything outside of Sharia Law. To even compare Islam to Christianity or Judaism is a joke and should be treated as pure propaganda.

Stories like this are very intriguing to me because it's the liberals who don't want to acknowledge the atrocities committed by Iran, among other Middle Eastern and Northern African countries. They would rather stick their heads in the sand when it comes to Islamo-fascism because they don't want to make anyone upset. (Unless it's Darfur...because that's what the celebrities are in to.) When's the last time you heard a liberal talk about "right-wing, evangelical Muslims"? The answer is never. They are able to rail against Christians and Jews because they don't have to worry about being raped and decapitated.

"I remember hearing them cry and scream after [the rape] was over," he told the paper. "I will never forget how this one girl clawed at her own face and neck with her finger nails afterwards. She had deep scratches all over her." - Fox News

God forbid we would ever water-board any of these enemy combatants...it just doesn't seem fair given the way they treat one another. They would kill you in a second if they had the chance. Stop being so naive and call a spade a spade...it's sickening how cowardly our country has become.
